Anglers Run Port Authority Meeting Off the Rails

May 2, 2015

The Canaveral Port Authority decided to hold a meeting to "inform the public" as to where it was in the process of trying to erect an earthen-dam commercial railway across a federally managed manatee sanctuary — home to the world's largest population of the slow-moving, docile creatures — and an area that's been off-limits to mechanically-propelled vessels (No Motor Zone) for more than 20 years.

I attended the meeting, and wrote one of my weekly columns for FLORIDA TODAY.

For more information on the project, visit here or here.
